Unfortunately, in the world we live in today, we can’t just assume our children will learn about virtue throughout their lives. In order to ensure that our children have quality character, we must teach them while they’re in our homes.
Yet, it isn’t enough just to tell our children what honesty, faith and compassion are, they need to know what it looks like in others, how they can show it in their own lives and discover what they truly mean to them. How does Integrity Files Work?
Each lesson focuses on a virtue that is important to your child’s character. They’ll learn about each virtue by playing detective through the study of vocabulary, Scripture, investigation, copywork and much more! The entire family can take part in this study and learn together through the use of family activity ideas included in each unit.
How long does it take to study an Integrity File?
Provided that you utilize all of the activities in the lesson, each Integrity File was designed to be a month-long character study.
What age/grade are Integrity Files designed for?
While I believe that all curriculum can be used for any age/grade by adaptation, Integrity Files: Virtue Lessons for Children, as created is best suited for 8-12 years/2nd-5th grade.
Why did I create Integrity Files?
Character training needs to be part of our children’s education. The world needs more people of virtue – individuals with quality character. There isn’t any education in the world that is worth more than someone who could be called a role model…or a hero.
If we raise children that can complete the most difficult Mathematical equation but aren’t capable of showing compassion to others, then I believe we will have failed as parents.
