Summertime is my favorite time of all. The sun is shining, the days are long and there are so many opportunities to do things that you just can’t do in any other season.

My favorite destination is the beach, which basically requires hot summer days…especially in Maine.

The first day of summer is always worth a celebration in my book. However, I know that not everyone is excited for this day as I am.

Still, whether you’re a summer lover or you’re wishing for the first day of fall to arrive, the first day of summer can be fun!

One of the things I love most about past homeschooling years is having the ability to see my children grow through their schoolwork.

I love the changing seasons because it gives us the opportunity to regroup and refocus our homeschooling journey.

As year round homeschoolers, summer homeschooling doesn’t look the same as the rest of the year. Our schedule and resources change to allow for more outdoor fun as well as learning time.

These first day of summer journal pages are a fun way to look back over each of your child’s summers and see how they change and grow over time.

It always amazes me to see how much of a difference a year makes in my children’s lives. Their likes, dislikes, interests, challenges, strengths, etc. all change so much.

Happy summer fun…and learning!
