Have you ever had a peach from Georgia? Evidently, they are the best of the best, so it is no surprise that Georgia is known as ‘The Peach State’. While these Georgia Virtual Field Trips won’t give you the ability to taste a Georgia peach, there is so much to learn and explore through them.

I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember doing anything fun on the many road trips I’ve taken through Georgia. For the life of me, I can’t remember anything about any of the time I’ve spent in ‘The Peach State’.

However, I was able to explore Georgia virtually while putting together these field trips that can be used with a state study of Georgia. I love the outdoors and history, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover many interesting places in Georgia.

For instance, Stone Mountain in Georgia is the largest exposed granite east of the Mississippi River and Franklin Delano Roosevelt built a home in Georgia while he was Governor of ‘The Peach State’.

I hope that you and your family have as much fun virtually exploring Georgia as I did!
