As you can tell from my previous posts, I’m a big fan of lapbooking because I think it can add some fun and creativity to our studies when things start to get a little dull. I also think lapbooks make a great visual representation of all the learning that goes on in our homeschool.

Another perk to lapbooking is that most are available instantly for downloading whenever you’re ready to learn, plus they’re very affordable. Convenience and cost are high on my list of homeschool planning priorities!

Spring Learning with Lapbooks

UnitStudy.com always has excellent resources for a wide variety of topics. Their Download N Go series is one of our favorite sources of instant learning.

They have everything you need for a week of study, plus the lapbook components to build as you go each day. They are also designed to be adjustable for different age ranges so the whole family can work together.  If you’re looking for something that is thorough in scope, yet simple to plan, I recommend them!

Spring Surprises: This one is perfect for the K-4th grade age range. Kids will learn about and complete a lapbook on the following topics:

  • Day 1: What Is Spring?
  • Day 2: Science Secrets of Spring
  • Day 3: People and Places of Spring
  • Day 4: Time for Tips and Treasures of Spring
  • Day 5: Goodies and Surprises of Spring

It’s a lot of learning packed into the week, but the format of lapbooking helps kids to retain the information and refer back to it anytime.

A Journey through Learning is another favorite lapbooking resource in our homeschool. We have never been disappointed with their products. Each one includes a study guide so that the reading is combined with the lapbooking elements to make it easy for kids to complete the work.

Homeschool Share also has a spring lapbook that includes 8 printable components and mini-books for your student to use.

If you haven’t tried lapbooking yet, I hope you’ll give it a chance with some of these fun spring ideas. It might be the breath of fresh air that your homeschool needs!
