Getting kids to write isn’t always easy, but these fun, themed monthly writing prompts are sure to inspire even the most reluctant writers!

Sometimes we all need just a bit of inspiration to get started with something. Even things that we love doing at times.
I love to write, but there have been seasons in my life when the words just haven’t come as easily as others.
Writing is a skill that everyone will need throughout their lives in one capacity or another. My children found that all of the years that mom required them to write all of the essays, reports and papers paid off tremendously in their college English classes.
If your children don’t love to write, I encourage you to still require them to do so. You don’t know what their future holds and neither do they. Basic mathematics, Reading and Writing are skills that every child must acquire for life.
As parents, we sometimes have to push our children to do things they don’t like. In life they won’t always get to choose what they do all of the time.
Writing can be such a push for many kids, but it will pay off in dividends throughout their lives. So, stay strong, Momma. Be creative, but make them write.
I love themed homeschooling opportunities. That’s why I love using unit studies in homeschooling so much.
