Preschool-Kindergarten summer learning needs to be full of fun to keep them engaged during the long days of summer! However, summer is often seen as a time to take a break from homeschooling. As a year round homeschooler, I know that the best thing for our children’s education is to continue a less intense version of homeschooling throughout the summertime.
When you take longer breaks from homeschooling your children often forget things that you’ve worked hard to teach them over the last homeschool year. This applies to even your youngest students.
Preschool and Kindergarten include the stepping stones of learning that set the stages for your child’s future. Math, Writing and Reading are the very backbone of your child’s education.
Homeschooling through the summer does not have to look like the rest of your homeschool year. Ours rarely does. Summertime homeschooling should be filled with fun-filled activities, field trips, nature walks, art projects and daily doses of quality literature.
Preschool and Kindergarten must be fun. If you make it all work and no play, your young students will struggle to love learning which is something you need for all the tomorrows that lay ahead of you!
Throughout our homeschooling journey, I’ve learned how to make learning fun without losing the educational side. Which is why I’ve put together an entire Preschool-Kindergarten Summer Learning Collection for your little ones to enjoy learning with this summer!
