It is important for our children to know the Easter Story because it is essential to their faith! As Christian parents it is our responsibility to ensure our children have a solid foundation for their faith. If we are not diligently teaching them God’s Word while they are in our home then we are not fulfilling our calling from the Lord. The likelihood of our children remaining in the Christian faith is greatly dependent on the teaching they receive in our home. I believe it is necessary to teach our children from God’s Word directly the majority of the time. However, there are moments when storybooks are right for the moment. Visual learners are most benefited from the reading of storybooks with pictures.
