These new homeschool year prayer sheets were designed to help you get started with the most important step of preparing for a new homeschool year!

Sometimes the simplest steps are the most important. It is likely that you’ve already whispered a prayer or two regarding your upcoming homeschool year. Let’s take it a step further, shall we?
How to Use These New Homeschool Year Prayer Sheets
The purpose behind the design of these prayer sheets was to be super intentional and focused when bathing your new homeschool year in prayer.
I created them based on my own preparation journey for each new homeschool year.
They aren’t fancy, as I’ve grown to love simplicity vs. pomp and circumstance. Think, black and white printer-friendly!
If you tend to slow down your homeschool in the summer, that would be a great time to print these out. This would allow you to take your time as you pray and complete each prayer sheet before the new homeschool year begins.
Step One
During my homeschool preparation time, I would cover one prayer at a time. This helped me ensure that I wouldn’t get distracted by one prayer topic before talking with the Lord about another.
For instance, praying about curriculum selection might be distracting while praying about equipping my heart. I *might* love homeschool curriculum and lose focus on pretty much anything while shopping for it.
Step Two
When writing out your prayers, be specific. God already knows what’s in your heart and mind, so you aren’t really keeping it yourself. 🙂
Prayer is about building our relationship with Him and learning to hear His voice. How much we put into our prayer life greatly determines the depth and strength of our relationship with the Lord.
Step Three
When God responds to your prayer request, be sure to write down His response. This will be helpful and inspiring throughout the upcoming homeschool year and beyond.
Sometimes life moves so fast that we forget answered prayers. By writing His responses down, we can take a look back in the past to see what God has said and done. Even if we can’t specifically remember it ourselves.
Step Four
Only move on from one prayer sheet to the next when God has responded to your current request. Don’t rush His timing or His work. His way is always best.
When you’ve completed all of the prayer sheets, take time to review all of your requests and God’s responses. Thank Him for His direction.
