I wasn’t alive the last time the Solar Eclipse was visible in the state of Maine. It just so happens, that we currently live in the path of totality for the upcoming event in 2024.
Our region is being told to prepare for 20-30,000 people. That is a lot of people for our small area during what is typically our messy mud season.
While both of my children have graduated, I am looking forward to this educational experience myself. You are never too old to learn, don’t forget that mommas!
I believe that teaching our children with as many personal learning opportunities as possible. This allows them to not just read or be told about something, but to use their own 4 senses to experience things for themselves.
If you are close-by or are able to visit a place in the Path of Totality, I encourage you to do so to allow your kids to experience this amazing phenomenon firsthand.
