Homeschooling through December, in the midst of the holiday craziness, can be fun and easy with this December Homeschool Planning Pack!

The beauty of homeschooling year round is that you can take time off throughout the year. In my experience, December ends up being a month when even the best-made plans, by the most ocd, over the top planner, more often than not, don’t happen.
5 Reasons to Use This Planning Pack for Your December Homeschooling
- Everyone needs a schedule break
It is easy to get laser-focused on what you “have” to get done in each school year. Every homeschool mom struggles with slowing down and taking a break from a particular schedule/system they have in place from time to time.
- Recognize that different can be beneficial
You and your family will likely benefit from taking the month off from your normal homeschool activities. No one can operate doing the same thing every single day for even 180 days of the calendar year.
- Holidays are educational opportunities
The Christmas season is the perfect time to let go of your “normal” homeschooling. There are countless opportunities for your kids to keep learning all month long, including:
-
- Historic holiday traditions
- Christmas music
- Math in the kitchen
- Christmas shopping math fun (free printable Christmas math shopping pages here!)
- Geography
- Science
- Language Arts
- and ensuring that you make time for what matters most
- Research not required
You don’t have to figure out what your kids will be learning about through the holidays. I’ve already done the research and organization for you! All you have to do is pick and choose which holidays and activities you want to do throughout the month.
- An easy homeschool option for the holidays
This December Homeschool Planning Pack will make December easy for you and fun for your kids. Inside you’ll find fun holiday learning resources, weekly and monthly planning pages and homeschool journaling pages for you!
What Our December Homeschooling Looked Like
A mother’s plates are full enough throughout the year; when December arrives, they’re overflowing. That’s why during our homeschooling years, we typically took the month of December off to rest and embrace the Christmas season.
Early on, I decided I wanted to ensure that our Christmas was focused on Christ. I also took time to decide what I really wanted for Christmas.
Having a fully planned-out homeschool schedule, in addition to the holiday happenings, made it very difficult to focus on what really matters most at Christmas.
I encourage you to truly slow down this month. Grab a cup of hot chocolate, turn up the Christmas music and sit beside the twinkling lights.
Your scheduled homeschool planning will be ready and waiting for your return. Just like the laundry and dishes. 🙂
